Graduate Physicist - R&D Test

This unique role will take ownership of creating and testing a brand new area of technology, taking this idea from concept into production. The company has an outstanding reputation within the scientific field and is leveraging its knowledge and facilities to create a small team for entering a new lucrative market.

You will join right at the start of the journey and will first understand the current technology, then start to explore other products available in the market. Gaining knowledge of new and existing technology, you will become the go-to person within the business for the product range.

Physics is at the heart of the product, and you will identify new test technologies to assess suitability while working in collaboration with R&D to create innovative concepts and design solutions for new products. Collecting and analyzing test data on product performance, you will design test jigs and fixtures to support the development of new products.

The role will provide you with the platform to carve out a long-term career within the business, where you could progress into a range of different roles.

For this role, we are looking for:
  • A degree, MSc, or PhD in Physics.
  • A good understanding of testing and analysis, with the ability to understand and present data.
  • A practical approach to product development.
  • Any programming or materials knowledge would be an advantage.
